We are excited to offer a number of Music Scholarships and Crescendo Music Scholarships. Kinross Wolaroi School has been acknowledged by the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) as one of the ten most outstanding accredited schools in NSW and is the top regional music school in NSW.
Who can apply for a Music Scholarship and Crescendo Music Scholarship?
- Applications will be accepted from current students of Kinross Wolaroi or a student who is not yet enrolled at the School.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
- Applicants must have reached a minimum performance standard of Grade 4 AMEB or equivalent to apply.
- Applicants must be entering Year 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 in 2025.
Additional criteria for Music Scholarship and Crescendo Music Scholarship applicants:
- As part of their supporting documentation, applicants must provide any copies of music certificates they have received.
- Applicants should be at a minimum level of Grade 4 AMEB (or equivalent).
- Applicants must attend a music audition and complete a sight reading and listening test.
- Successful music scholarship recipients must be involved in at least 3 co-curricular Performing Arts ensembles for the duration of their scholarship.
- Successful music scholarship recipients will be strongly encouraged to take Elective Music in Year 9 or 11 (depending on entry level at Kinross Wolaroi School).
- Please note that private music tuition does not have to take place at Kinross Wolaroi School.

We are pleased to have a number of Boarding Bursaries on offer to students entering Years 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 as boarders in 2025.
Boarding goes to the heart of who we are at Kinross Wolaroi School. Our commitment to co-educational boarding, development of the whole child and family-like environment provides a modern boarding experience where young people develop a strong sense of self and a mature outlook on life.
Who can apply for a Boarding Bursary?

- Applicants who are NOT current students of Kinross Wolaroi should write about what they are most looking forward to as a boarder and how they will contribute to the community of the School. The essay should be between 500 and 1000 words and must be the applicant’s own work.

Kinross Wolaroi School opens up a world of opportunity for students in Orange, in the Central West of NSW. With a rich boarding heritage and connection with generations of regional families seeking a co-educational and independent boarding and day school for their family. Kinross Wolaroi School accepts students from Pre-Kinder to Year 12, with boarding from Year 7 on separate sites for boys and girls.

About our Scholarships:
To acknowledge our diverse student population and encourage excellence, Kinross Wolaroi School will offer a number of scholarships to students entering Years 5, or 7 to 11 in 2025.
To be considered for a scholarship all candidates must sit the scholarship examination, which will be held on site at Kinross Wolaroi School on Monday 12 February 2024. Applicants must also complete an online application and submit supporting documentation as outlined in our Scholarship Guidelines.
For all students entering Year 5 in 2025, the scholarship will continue until the end of Year 6 and for all students entering Year 7 to 11 in 2025, the scholarship will continue until the end of Year 12; provided the successful scholar continues to meet the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
Candidates may apply for more than one scholarship and/or bursary. There is no additional fee if you would like to apply for more than one category.
