We are delighted to offer a number of Academic Scholarships to students with proven academic excellence, an exemplary work ethic and the ability to make a significant contribution of the life of the School.

At Redlands, students have the flexibility to develop their individual pathway to academic success through a choice between the HSC or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, which the school has offered for over 30 years, longer than any other school in NSW.

Our learning program is underpinned by the Redlands Learning Platform which is based on internationally recognised learning frameworks and research from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.

We are delighted to offer a number of Merit/All-Rounder Scholarships to students with a strong academic record who are passionate about learning and have the ability to make a positive and significant contribution to the life of the School.

These scholarships are awarded as a result of ACER testing, scholarship application review and invitation to interview.

We are delighted to offer a number of Music Scholarships for Year 7 2026. They are awarded as a result of ACER testing, scholarship application review, interview, performance by invitation in one instrument of choice and results of music examinations.

For 2026 there will be a specific focus on Tuba, Oboe, Bassoon, Viola and/or Double Bass, however other instrumentalists and vocalists are also invited to apply.

Our exceptional Music program offers expert tuition and extensive performance opportunities, as well as the choice of HSC Music or International Baccalaureate Music.

We are delighted to offer a number of Dance Scholarships for Year 7 2026. They are awarded as a result of audition, ACER testing, application review and interview by invitation.

Our Redlands Dance Academy enables students to combine academic study with a full ballet and dance program, with expert tuition and extensive performance opportunities under the direction of Gilly Review, former principal dancer with The Royal Ballet. Students have the choice of HSC Dance or International Baccalaureate Dance, with nearly all students achieving top band results.

We welcome applications for the means-tested Coralie Amos OAM Scholarship from exceptional students who will be entering Year 7 2026 and are not currently enrolled at Redlands. This Redlands Foundation Scholarship will be awarded to a student with a strong academic record and the ability to contribute to the life of the School in Sport, Music, Dance or Service.

The scholarship offers the opportunity to benefit from a Redlands education with its outstanding learning platform, the choice of the HSC or International Baccalaureate and an excellent university and careers advisory program.

Our students graduate as well-rounded and confident young adults, ready to embrace their tertiary studies in top universities in Australia and all around the world, including Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford and Yale.

This Scholarship is named in honour of Redlander Coralie Amos OAM (Class of 1964), who has dedicated her life to Service and helping communities in many different areas. From the Australian National Museum of Education, Meals on Wheels, the local hospital to more than 37 years promoting golf as a healthy sport for women and girls at the club and district level, she has given her time and passion freely without seeking recognition or reward. In 2021 Coralie was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to the community.

The Coralie Amos OAM Scholarship is strictly means-tested and has been made possible by generous donations from parents, Alumni and friends within the Redlands community. It is aimed at providing a Redlands opportunity to a student from a family who would otherwise be unable to attend the School.

Redlands is proud of the achievements of the following Redlands alumni who were scholarship recipients:

  • Theo Mirrlees-Black, Class of 2021. Theo was School Captain and achieved a perfect ATAR of 99.95. He was awarded a prestigious Tuckwell Scholarship to Australian National University (ANU), where he is currently studying Computer Science and Mathematical Science.
  • Lindsay McNeil, Class of 2019. Lindsay achieved an ATAR of 99.85 and graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First Class Bachelor of Arts in Law (Honours), ranking 3rd out of a total of 263 students. Lindsay placed 1st in Intellectual Property Law, achieving the only First Class with Distinction in this subject, and received the Littleton Chambers Prize for the highest performance in Labour Law.
  • Charlotte (Charlie) Rogers, Class of 2017. Charlie was Service Prefect, Captain of Debating and Captain of Strings and achieved an ATAR of 99.85.  She was awarded the inaugural International Excellence Scholarship to attend the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Having completed her MA (Hons) International Relations and Psychology there, she was the recipient of the Malcolm Jeeves Award for Best Student Overall in Honours Psychology and an R&A International Scholarship which fully funds a year of international travel. Charlie used this scholarship to travel through remote regions of Western Australia and Central America, focusing specifically on how Indigenous environmental philosophies can help to heal and connect with country. She is now working in London.
  • Zoe Thompson, Class of 2016. Zoe was School Captain and achieved an ATAR of 99.85. She was awarded an international scholarship to the University of Toronto where she undertook a degree in Physiology and Molecular Genetics and has recently  completed her MD degree, qualifying as a Doctor of Medicine.
  • Felix Lonergan, Class of 2016. Felix was Captain of Drama and achieved a perfect ATAR of 99.95. He was a Scientia Scholar at UNSW where he completed his Bachelor of Advanced Science (Physics)/Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree. He is now working as a software engineer.
  •  Sonia Kalcina, Class of 2015. Sonia was Environmental Prefect and Captain of Tennis and achieved an ATAR of 99.55. She received a Masters in Mathematics, First Class Honours from the University of Oxford, and now works for Capital One UK as Product Manager.

2026 Scholarships will be awarded based on the result of the ACER Scholarship Test for all categories and Scholarship Applications, as well as interviews/auditions for short listed candidates.
