2021 saw the introduction of a new strategic plan for Rouse Hill Anglican College. At the heart of the plan lies the College core values, Character, Care and Courage.
Character and Courage reflects the schools’ commitment to being open to new learning opportunities, to be ready to explore discover and create. Through implementation of the whole school Deep Learning Framework, teachers support the ongoing development of essential capabilities in communication, critical and creative thinking, collaboration and citizenship.
Rigorous learning programs provide a context for learners to stretch themselves both academically and personally in the pursuit of excellence, applying tenacity and resilience when faced with new challenges. From the earliest years, students establish and reflect on their progress towards achieving personal learning goals. The focus on building confidence and a sense of competence enhances motivation and engagement.
Rouse Hill Anglican College empowers students with the knowledge and skills to proactively care for their own wellbeing and are encouraged to be an engaged member of a supportive and encouraging community. Fostering compassion, integrity and wisdom equips the students to love and serve in Christ’s world.
Jesus’ commandment to love God and love one another (Luke 10:26-27) is put into action in both the Junior and Senior School through Service learning opportunities. Whether it be involvement in fundraising, creating care packages, environmental action initiatives or community service projects, the students understand that they can make a positive contribution to their school, the local community and the wider, global community.
